In the loop: Solution Dyed Nylon
Solution Dyed Nylon or SDN is a high-quality synthetic fibre created using BCF Nylon. It is made up of long continual filaments of fibres that are blended together to form a single continuous yarn. It is dyed at the very beginning of the process before being extruded and can be understood using the carrot and radish analogy! SDN like a carrot will maintain its colour all the way through compared to pieced dyed commodity nylon which like a radish is only coloured on the surface and is white underneath. This means that the colour is an integral part of the fibre and therefore it has superior colour fastness.

Loop Pile Carpet vs Cut Pile Carpet
Loop Pile and Cut Pile are the two predominant carpet styles in the marketplace today. Sometimes you may hear alternate terms such as Twist, Frieze, Berber or Plush - these are just subcategories of either a cut or loop pile carpet.
To appreciate what a cut pile or loop pile carpet really means, it helps to understand a little on the manufacturing process. When a carpet is manufactured, the pile is woven in and out of the backing of the carpet. This manufacturing process creates a bunch of loops of fibre attached to the synthetic backing.
