We recently travelled to New Zealand to learn more about the people, processes and landscapes behind the 100% New Zealand wool used in our carpets.
Our visit included time with a key partner at its wool yarn processing facility, where we saw firsthand how locally sourced wool is transformed into high-quality carpet yarn.
Keeping the processing in New Zealand provides greater oversight of the wool throughout its journey and helps preserve the quality, cleanliness and natural characteristics of the fibre. It also supports local expertise, regional employment and New Zealand’s long-standing wool industry.
We also visited a working Canterbury farm to better understand the beginning of the supply chain. Meeting the people involved in producing the wool reinforced the importance of strong relationships between farmers, processors and manufacturers.
The trip strengthened our understanding of New Zealand wool and reaffirmed our commitment to developing beautifully crafted carpets made from natural fibres with a clear and authentic provenance.
